Thank you for considering giving your things and money to help those in your community. Here are some ways that your local Besom can help you to give. To find out more get in touch!
Furniture & white goods
Besom gets requests from key workers to assist clients in setting up home. We
are delighted to accept furniture, household items and electrical appliances such as cookers, washing machines and fridge freezers. Items should be clean and in good condition and beds and sofas require fire tags.
Bedding Packs
Our bedding packs comprise duvets, sheets, towels, pillows and pillow cases. We will be delighted to accept these items in a clean, good condition.
Toiletries
A gift of toiletries can be a wonderful encouragement and we can pass on donations to our clients.
Kitchen Packs
We put together kits of common and essential kitchen items, such as cutlery, crockery, saucepans, and cleaning products. These kits go to people in need who will be moving into new accommodation.
Food items are also included in these packs or given separately.
Giving Money
None of us is paid but there are costs involved in renting our storage unit and running a van. The team sometimes is able to buy items for clients where we have funding; for example a cooker, washing machine or items for making their home comfortable such as curtain poles. If you would like to donate towards operating costs or help us buy items for our clients, there are two ways of doing so:
Via Stewardship
By using the Donate button which will take you to our Stewardship online giving page. This is an easy way to pay and include gift aid.
